Six cloths make up the range. Each one is picked for how it feels on the skin and how it wears over time, then finished by hand. Read about them here, or shop by fabric.
Cotton poplin
The shirting cloth. It holds a collar and a cuff without trying too hard, which is why the Peggy Shirt lives in it.

- 100% cotton, OEKO-TEX certified
- Weight
- Light to mid weight: a fine 60s poplin on some styles, a slightly heavier 40s on others
- Stretch
- None, a woven cloth that holds its shape
- Feel
- Cool, smooth and crisp. Softens a little with every wash.
- Care
- Gentle machine wash cold with similar colours, inside out and in a garment bag so the buttons do not chip. Do not bleach. Warm iron.
370gsm heavyweight cotton
The Signature cloth. Soft, substantial and made to be worn for years, finished by hand with a blanket stitch in contrast thread.

- Feel
- Soft and substantial, with a clean drape that keeps its shape.
- Care
- Cold wash inside out, in a garment bag. Dry flat or in shade, no tumble dry.
Daisy lace
The cloth Say is known for. A 60s cotton cambric with daisy cutwork embroidery: every daisy is embroidered and cut by machine, then finished by hand, so no two panels are quite the same.

- Cold hand wash, dry flat, cool iron on the reverse.
Cotton canvas
The structured cloth. It holds the curve of a wave, which is why the Elle Wave Jacket and the Wave Mini Skirt are cut from it.

- Firm and structured when new, softening the more you wear it.

- Cold wash inside out, line dry, warm iron.
Denim
The Wave pieces. French knots and the wavy placket are sewn by hand onto the denim before the garment is made up.

- Soft from the first wear, cut to layer rather than to armour.

- Wash rarely. Machine wash cold with similar colours, do not bleach, warm iron, do not dry clean.
Linen and lyocell
For the warm-weather pieces: Flora and Eva. Linen keeps you cool, lyocell stops it creasing like pure linen does.
